A Beauty Blogger Gives Me A Complete Makeover
ASOS Fit Assistant now asks for your height and weight online
Ordering the wrong size clothes is both disheartening and frustrating, especially when you'resurethat you know your clothes size. It's a problem that's been recognised by ASOS.
Moments ago, the global retailer that ships more that 85,000 products a week announced the roll out of ASOS Fit Assistant.
Following months of testing, the new tech now offers you personalised size recommendations. But, how? By sharing your height, weight and fit with their machine learning tool, the website is able to share product suggestions.
Their goal is to ensure that you order the right size the first time.
This is good news for anyone who's ordered a haul only to discover that the size 12 was more like an 8, or those 'standard length' leggings actually bunch around the ankles when your legs aren't petite.
However, it also highlights a wider problem with the UK high street: why is there such a big discrepancy in fashion sizing?
Earlier this year, Lucy Horsley shared a photograph comparing two pairs of jeans that she'd purchased. One was a size 14, one an 18. Yet, when placed on top of each other it appears the smaller size is bigger...
So, this new sizing tool could really be beneficial if you really do struggle to find your size when shopping online.

At the end of the day, the queso is the big draw. If you want the classic, cheese-pull dip that is the jewel in the crown of Tex-Mex cuisine, look elsewhere. But if your usual burrito order needs a little something extra, perhaps paying the extra 1.25 is worth the trip
